Hey lovelies,
I’ve been working on some fiction over the last years, and am excited to start sharing some excerpts here with paid subscribers on what we’ll dub Fiction Fridays. Below, you’ll see a snippet of a YA fantasy book I’ve been working on, and as you read, you’ll come upon a paywall. If you’d like to read on but don’t have means to support this space financially just now, just let me know and I’ll comp you a paid subscription, no questions asked.
Before we get to it, some upcoming offerings and a mutual aid opportunity:
6 week Inner Child Meditation Circle: I’m excited to facilitate a pilot 6 week Inner Child Meditation Circle beginning October 10th on Thursdays at 11am PT via zoom for a sliding scale of $0-30 session, where we’ll ground, introduce a specific attachment element, experience a guided visualization do some journaling, share our experiences together, and close our circle.
This first circle is for folks who can commit to the 6 weeks, and have already done some of their own inner work. This isn’t therapy—rather a space for us to do this self-work in community.
If you'd like to join this pilot circle, reach out and let me an email to let know: we’ll keep the first round small. And if you’re not sure, the timing doesn’t work, or want to do the work at your own pace, you can try out one of our meditations for free to see if it might be a good fit, and access the full self-paced course.
Lastly, my friend Mo is helping his family in Gaza with another round of mutual aid funding, specifically to support distributing sanitized water to their community who don’t have access. If you’d like to help contribute, reach out and I’ll share his details.
Alright—let fiction Friday commence!
Dante sits up in his bed, eyes wide. He scratches the back of his head and blinks twice, adjusting to the darkness that fills the room. He reaches for his glasses and gently places them on the bridge of his nose, bringing the world into focus.
He peers at the alarm clock on the wooden nightstand to his right. 4:30am. It’s always just before sunrise when he wakes from a vision.
